My friends and I went to Trust for Saturday afternoon brunch. When we got there, the place was quite busy. The atmosphere was a bit trendy but nice, if not a bit loud. In fact, it was difficult for us to talk to each other without shouting. It was a bit off-putting. The parking is the luck of the draw at best. One of us had to park 3 blocks away. This is a sad reality of dining in Hillcrest. The staff did its best and was as accommodating as possible. Given that the place was so busy, the service was a little slow but acceptable. If the service had been this slow and it had not been busy, it would have been most unacceptable. So when it's busy, expect to wait. We had salmon toast, baked eggs, chicken sandwich and roasted cauliflower. The portions were moderate but adequate. The price was slightly on the high side, so don't be surprised. It was all delicious. The salmon toast was a bit salty, and even with a steak knife, the toast was difficult to cut. Also, the toast is quite thick, so it does need to be cut unless pulled apart by hand, which I would not recommend, so be mindful of that. I would recommend trying this place at least once. The food is good. I'm sure for some, it will be a go-to spot. The parking limitations and the higher prices are a reason this only gets a four star review. Overall, not a bad choice for brunch.

Absolutely spectacular dinner at Trust in Hillcrest! The service was 10/10, very knowledgeable, polite, friendly, and accommodating. Loved the menu and sharing style since there are so many great choices. Great wine and cocktail list. We ordered the albacore tartare, wood grilled octopus, crab fried rice, braised oxtail raviolini, and chicken liver toast. Everything was amazing, the octopus was our favorite. Nice, spacious, dog friendly outdoor patio. Highly recommend!

Every Trust restaurant is great. This one is the best. And it should be since it was the where the chef first got started. We have been coming here for dinner since they opened but this was the first brunch visit. The chicken sando was probably the best one I had. The crunch, seasoning mix of sauces were excellent. If you love Brussels and egg whites, the scramble is the way to go. We ate the sticky bun last which was the right call. If you know you want one, make sure you ask for it to be held when you sit down because they do run out. Our server brightened our day with his recommendations and attentive service.

I absolutely love these smash burgers. They're are melt in your mouth delicious. I usually get these when I'm sitting at the bar because I don't think they make them for takeout. it is absolutely worth pulling up to the bar having a nice little cocktail and a smashburger also the strawberry margaritas are very delicious. I've been there numerous times ordered plenty of different items and they are always on point.

Okay so I have to say this place is good but not over the top. The food was good again not over the top. Though my brother liked his steak. Overall it was nice. Maybe try it again and try something else, and they require a reservation.

Went here for brunch recently. The food was mediocre for brunch. I wasn't impressed. However, the ambience and service was really great. Parking is hard to find, especially on a Sunday due to the farmers market. The coffee was good. The cinnamon bun was good as well, but a little too sweet for my taste. They do rotate flavors of the cinnamon bun.

My friends and I ate here this past weekend. We had amazing food. To start we had the sticky bun. No, we didn't want to wait until after breakfast LOL. This week's ice cream was vanilla lavendar, chef's kiss! I had the egg white scramble, it had a little kick to it if you like spice. My friends had salmon toast and the fried rice with egg on top. Everything was delicious!! We'll definitely be back

Quite lovely experience here. Came here for a brunch date and had made a reservation ahead of time online. They had sent out a questionnaire asking if we had any requests and I had mentioned that I needed to follow a low-fat diet and avoid oils and such. The server actually mentioned to me that he had the note and made sure to let the kitchen know when we placed our order as well. Husband and I got the baked eggs and the egg white scramble. The baked eggs were absolutely lovely. It was like a little shakshuka of your own That came in a hot mini skillet with some toasted bread on top. The server offered that he would ask for no butter on the toast because I had said to avoid oils. This was really unexpected and thoughtful. Shakshuka itself was very flavorful and spicy. The good kind of spicy where it was a creamy tomato sauce with a little bit of heat and loaded with chickpeas. I think there was just one egg on there but no complaints because it was nice overall. Egg white scramble was also yum. I asked them to put less oil and also to give the pesto on the side so that I can avoid adding extra calories. Did not end up adding the pesto but the dish itself was good on its own. The tzatziki sauce on the top went perfectly well with the goat cheese and the eggs. Really good amount of brussel sprouts inside and the greens as well. I think the only thing missing was some toast. It would have been nice to have a slice of toast along with the eggs because it was quite an expensive dish and the portion says felt quite small for that price point. Also got a side order of pancakes to share. It came with some whipped butter on top and a side of maple syrup. The pancakes were so fluffy and big and perfectly soft and so delicious on their own that I did not even need that syrup. Just a little bit of that butter and it was the perfect sweet buttery pancake! Overall really nice experience and nice Vibe with good food and service.
